Role Description
We are seeking a highly responsive and detail oriented Inside Sales Account Manager to support and grow our distributor network. This role is focused on managing inbound demand, turning quotes into orders, and maintaining strong day-to-day relationships with customers. The ideal candidate understands urgency, values relationship-building, and can operate efficiently in a high-volume, commodity-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily communication with distributor accounts and sale representatives
- Commercial ownership of revenue, gross profit and margin %
- Timely responses to RFQ, RFP, product availability, purchase order and material status
- Generate accurate and timely quotes based on current copper/aluminum market conditions
- Proactively follow up on quotes to convert opportunities into orders
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers
- Process orders and coordinate with production, logistics, and operations teams
- Monitor open and back orders and ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction
- Identify opportunities to increase market share within existing accounts
- Maintain accurate records of pricing, orders, and customer activity in the CRM
- Problem solving, resolving issues quickly and professionally to reinforce trust and reliability
- Proactively create product demand
- Support customer needs
Qualifications
- 2 years of inside sales, account management, or related experience
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (bi-lingual is a plus)
- Relationship-oriented mindset with a customer-first approach
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow through
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, transactional sales environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- NetSuite proficiency is a plus
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in wire & cable, metals, or electrical distribution
- Familiarity with commodity-based pricing (copper/aluminum markets)
- Experience with order entry, quoting systems, CRM and ERP platforms
- Proven ability to close sales opportunities and support revenue growth
