Grocery Associate: 32–40 Hours

Commodities Natural Market is a family-owned, community-focused natural grocery store committed to providing high-quality organic and local foods, natural wellness products, and friendly service to our neighbors. We are known for our organic/local produce, butchery counter, and curated natural goods, and we take pride in creating a welcoming, health-oriented shopping experience.

We are currently hiring full-time team members for cashier, grocery stock, and shift lead/keyholder roles.

Schedule

• Full-Time: 32–40 hours per week
• Closing shifts prefered (Store closes at 7:00 PM, shifts typically end 7:30 PM)
• One weekend day preferred
• Consistent weekly schedules, with some seasonal variability during busier or slower periods

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual
• Reliable Transportation
• Friendly and comfortable interacting with customers
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs (dollies and lifting tools available on site)
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Retail or grocery experience preferred, but not required
• Comfortable working evening shifts
• Works well with others and communicates clearly

Essential Talents

• Stock shelves, sort and reshelve returned items, and mark prices on items and shelves.
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas, and complete other general cleaning duties, such as mopping floors and emptying trash cans.
• Process merchandise returns and exchanges.
• Help customers find the location of products.
• Request information or assistance, using paging systems.
• Answer incoming phone calls.
• Establish or identify prices of goods, services, or admission, and tabulate bills, using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners.
• Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
• Greet customers entering establishments.
• Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
