What are the responsibilities and job description for the (Marketing Agency) Digital Marketing Manager position at Commit Agency?
Overview
Commit Agency is seeking a talented, results-driven Digital Marketing Manager to join our
growing Digital Department. This mid-level, individual contributor role sits at the intersection of
strategy and execution — with a primary focus on paid and boosted social media alongside
full-channel digital campaign ownership across search, programmatic, and emerging platforms.
The Digital Marketing Manager brings deep expertise in paid social, a strong command of digital
media broadly, and a genuine passion for what's next. You're someone who can take a client's
business objectives and translate them into smart, integrated media strategies — then execute
those strategies with precision and optimize them relentlessly.
You'll collaborate closely with our Digital Director, Digital Marketing Managers, and
cross-functional agency teams to deliver exceptional, measurable results for clients. If you love
digital, thrive in a fast-paced agency environment, and want to work alongside people who care
deeply about doing great work — we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Paid & Boosted Social Media
- Collaborate on paid and boosted social strategy, execution, and optimization across Meta (Facebook/Instagram), LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, Snapchat, and X (Twitter) for a portfolio of client accounts.
- Build and manage social ad campaigns including audience targeting, creative trafficking, bid strategy, and budget pacing to deliver against client KPIs.
- Develop and execute boosted post strategies that maximize organic content performance through strategic amplification.
- Collaborate on managing Meta Business Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, and X Ads platform accounts with proficiency.
- Partner with Creative teams to brief, traffic, and QA social ad assets; provide platform-specific creative guidance and performance-informed feedback.
- Conduct ongoing audience research, segmentation, and testing to refine targeting strategies across platforms.
- Execute structured A/B tests on creative, copy, audiences, and placements; analyze results and apply learnings to continuously improve performance.
- Monitor platform-specific trends, algorithm updates, and emerging ad formats — and proactively bring recommendations to clients and the internal team.
Paid Search & Programmatic•
- Plan, build, and optimize paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Bing/Microsoft Ads, including keyword research, match type strategy, campaign architecture, ad group structure, and negative keyword management.
- Upload and test ad copy; manage ad extensions (sitelinks, callouts, structured snippets, call extensions) to maximize search real estate and CTR.
- Develop and manage smart bidding strategies — including Target CPA, Target ROAS, and Enhanced CPC — aligned to client goals and funnel stage.
- Set up and maintain call tracking, conversion tracking, and Google Tag Manager configurations to ensure accurate attribution and reporting.
- Plan and execute Google Shopping and Performance Max campaigns for e-commerce clients, including product feed management and audience signal development.
- Manage programmatic display, video, and native campaigns via StackAdapt, DV360, or similar DSPs — including audience targeting, deal IDs, contextual placements, and frequency management.
- Develop retargeting and prospecting audience strategies across search and programmatic channels, leveraging first-party data, lookalike modeling, and in-market segments.
- Monitor delivery, pacing, and budget allocation across all paid search and programmatic campaigns; flag and resolve underdelivery or overspend proactively.
- Stay current on Google Ads product updates, beta opportunities, and programmatic innovations; bring actionable recommendations to the team.
Strategy & Media Planning
- Contribute to integrated digital media plans across paid social, search, programmatic, and emerging channels.
- Develop channel strategies grounded in client business objectives, consumer insights, and competitive landscape analysis.
- Proactively identify and recommend new channels, beta opportunities, and incremental budget investments to support account growth.
- Partner with the Digital Director on high-level strategy recommendations and client-facing media presentations.
Reporting & Analytics
- Pull, organize, and analyze campaign performance data across all platforms; maintain and update reporting spreadsheets and Looker Studio dashboards.
- Provide written performance insights for monthly and quarterly client reports; occasionally present data and key findings directly to clients.
- Track paid social metrics including ROAS, CPM, CTR, CPC, CPL, and conversion rates; connect performance data to client business outcomes.
- Monitor KPIs across all channels and surface optimization opportunities proactively.
Research & Innovation
- Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analyses to surface growth and optimization opportunities for client campaigns.
- Stay current on paid social platform updates, emerging formats, and digital trends — and actively share findings with the team.
- Bring a progressive, curious mindset: refuse to rinse and repeat; always be looking for the smarter approach.
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate across agency departments — accounts, media, PR, creative, dev, and social — to develop cohesive digital strategies.
- Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders, vendor partners, and clients in a professional, solutions-oriented manner.
- Contribute to a positive, creative, and collaborative team culture.

- Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Critical thinker who pushes for smarter approaches — you don't just execute, you improve.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field preferred.
