Scientist – Raw Materials
Location: Tampa, FL
Job Description
Looking for a highly skilled Scientist to join one of our largest national life sciences clients on their raw materials team for a contract-to-hire opportunity.
In this role, you’ll test raw materials used in drug tablets, such as acetaminophen and inert fillers like microcrystalline cellulose, prior to assembly into finished products.
You will also perform verification testing once drugs are assembled.
To succeed, you must have a degree in chemistry, microbiology, or biology, and 3–5 years of professional lab experience.
A strong GMP background specific to raw materials and prior experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or contracted lab setting is essential.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology
- 3–5 years of professional lab experience
- GMP background specific to raw materials
- Chromatography experience (LC, GC or both)
- Experience with GCFID, VWD, or RID
- Compendial testing experience (USP/NF or EP)
- Familiarity with Empower software
- Prior experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing laboratory
- Ability to commute to Lebanon, NJ and work on-site 5 days/week
