What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wastewater Technician/Operator/Trainee position at Commissioners of Leonardtown?
Come join the utilities team in this fast growing waterfront town with a current population of 5,000 residents. This positions involves operation and maintenance work in the Town's Water System and newly expanded Wastewater facilities as well as, the Public Works Department. A valid Maryland driver's license and flexibility to work on-call rotating evenings, weekends and holidays are required. WWTP Operator 5A and Water 1 License preferred. Full-time from $59k/year for licensed individuals and from $45k/yr for non-licensed individuals. Excellent benefits. Lots of opportunity for upward mobility.
Duties:
- Operate and maintain machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks on machinery
- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure product quality and consistency
- Monitor production processes and make adjustments as necessary
- Build, plumb, analyze, and maintain production lines
- Perform heavy lifting as required

- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
