Job Description and Duties
Under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager II (SSMII) / Staff Services Manager III (SSMIII), the HPS II has primary responsibility for serving as the lead of the Behavioral Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission’s grants and technical assistance programs. Key responsibilities include: 1) Meet weekly with designated HPS I staff assigned to support monitoring of assigned contracts; 2) Keep the SSMII/III I informed about challenges to implementation, program successes, and strategies to enhance and sustain the programs; 3) Act as liaison between the program and other state agencies as assigned; 4) Coordinate between multiple contractors and grantees, as necessary to ensure timely completion of deliverables; 5) Document and convey all challenges to implementation and success of grantees and contractors to the RSI; 6) Create and present summary materials to the Commission on the progress of grantees and contractors; 7) Plan and facilitate meetings with grantees, contractors, and external stakeholders as specified by the RSI to ensure contract compliance and engage the community for learning purposes; 8) Provide high level analysis of program implementation, grantee progress toward goals including sustainability 9) Prepare position papers and policy recommendations for consideration by the Commission to brief the Legislature, the Administration, relevant State agencies, and the public; 10) Coordinate the secure collection, transfer, and receipt of grantee data to comply with Commission policies and procedures.
