Job Title: Trade Compliance Data Entry & Supplier Documentation Coordinator
Position Overview
The Trade Compliance Data Entry & Supplier Documentation Coordinator is responsible for supporting the company’s import/export compliance processes. This role focuses on accurate data entry, soliciting required trade documents from suppliers—such as USMCA Certifications and Certificates of Origin—and reviewing all documentation for accuracy and completeness. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable communicating with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of compliance materials.
Key Responsibilities

Data Entry & Record Management
- Enter product, tariff classification, and supplier compliance data into internal systems with a high degree of accuracy.
- Maintain organized digital records of trade compliance documents.
- Update internal databases as new information or corrections are received.

Supplier Solicitation
- Request USMCA Certifications, Certificates of Origin, and other compliance documents from suppliers.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely submission of required documentation.
- Provide guidance to suppliers on required information, formats, and deadlines.

Document Review & Verification
- Review supplier-provided documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) requirements.
- Verify origin claims, product descriptions, and tariff data match internal product information.
- Flag discrepancies, missing data, or inconsistencies and coordinate with suppliers or internal teams to correct them.

Compliance Support
- Assist Trade Compliance staff with audits, recordkeeping, and reporting.
- Help maintain compliance with USMCA rules and other trade regulations.
- Support continuous improvement of documentation procedures and workflows.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Prior experience in data entry, logistics, trade compliance, or supply chain is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple requests.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and data-entry systems.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with USMCA or Certificates of Origin.
- Familiarity with Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes.
- Basic understanding of import/export compliance regulations.
