Manufacturing Engineer

Position Summary

This position will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, improving product quality, and driving efficiency gains. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing strategies that align with our company's objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize production costs.
• Product Quality: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that products meet or exceed established quality standards. Implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• New Product Introduction: Work closely with R&D and product development teams to transition new products from design to manufacturing, including process development, validation, and documentation.
• Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for cost reduction through process improvements, supplier negotiations, and lean manufacturing practices.
• Production Planning: Assist in production planning and scheduling to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization.
• Root Cause Analysis: Investigate production issues and defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process control plans.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, supply chain, and maintenance, to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Health and Safety: Promote and adhere to safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation.
• Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with manufacturing simulation tools.
• Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
