Key Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize production costs.
- Product Quality: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that products meet or exceed established quality standards. Implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- New Product Introduction: Work closely with R&D and product development teams to transition new products from design to manufacturing, including process development, validation, and documentation.
- Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for cost reduction through process improvements, supplier negotiations, and lean manufacturing practices.
- Production Planning: Assist in production planning and scheduling to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization.
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate production issues and defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process control plans.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, supply chain, and maintenance, to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Health and Safety: Promote and adhere to safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation.
- Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with manufacturing simulation tools.
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
