Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Handle chemical agents safely for cleaning purposes, ensuring proper storage and disposal in accordance with safety protocols
- Operate floor buffers, polishers, and other custodial equipment to maintain floors in excellent condition
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas using appropriate techniques and tools
- Assist with facilities maintenance activities including light repairs, heavy lifting, and manual handling of supplies or equipment
- Follow safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or heavy items to prevent injury
- Support residential painting or minor maintenance projects as needed to enhance facility appearance and functionality
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is highly desirable
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures involving chemical agents and proper handling techniques
- Experience operating floor care equipment such as buffers and polishers
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs and light handyman work
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines
- Previous porter or facilities support experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
