We are seeking a detail-oriented Landscape Estimator to support our continued growth by preparing accurate and timely estimates for commercial landscape installation projects.
Position Summary
The Landscape Estimator is responsible for conducting site evaluations, taking measurements, reviewing project requirements, and producing precise estimates for pine straw, mulch, and other landscape installation services. This role works closely with our Operations Team to ensure estimates are clearly documented and ready for scheduling.
The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple estimates independently during peak seasonal periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits to collect accurate measurements, conditions, and project details.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and timelines.
- Interpret drawings, maps, photos, and customer specifications to determine scope.
- Communicate with customers when clarification is needed.
- Produce clear, organized written estimates and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, revisions, and job notes.
- Collaborate with the Operations Team for smooth project handoff.
- Assist in updating pricing tools, production rates, and estimating templates.
- Support additional estimating needs during busy seasonal periods.
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience in landscaping, construction, estimating, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurement and documentation.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean, insurable driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and customer-interaction skills.
- Familiarity with the Raleigh–Durham area or willingness to learn routes.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of landscape materials, production rates, or site evaluation practices.
- Experience with measurement tools, GIS maps, or digital estimating platforms.
Job Type

- Hybrid role: approximately 50% office / 50% field work
- Occasional single-day or overnight travel to surrounding markets such as Greensboro, Charlotte, Wilmington, Myrtle Beach, Virginia Beach, and Richmond
