We are a family-owned landscaping and transportation company based near the Raleigh Fairgrounds. Our logistics team coordinates deliveries throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, supporting a fleet of 20 trucks and hundreds of trailers.
We're looking for an organized, confident, and proactive Fleet Logistics Coordinator to join our logistics team. This is a fast-paced position where planning, decision-making, and organization are just as important as communication.

Schedule
- Full-time, Monday-Friday
- Some weekend work required during the busy spring season
- Primarily in-office, with the ability to work-from-home on occasion
- Reliable transportation required
This position includes carrying a company cell phone for after-hours emergencies such as breakdowns or other urgent driver issues. An “on-call” schedule will be arranged with other team members.

Position Summary
The Fleet Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating the daily movement of drivers, trucks, and trailers while ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable service to our customers.
Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to make timely decisions while managing multiple priorities. The ideal candidate enjoys planning ahead, maintaining structure, communicating clearly, and adapting as circumstances change throughout the day.
Primary Responsibilities
Dispatch & Logistics
- Coordinate daily assignments for approximately 20 CDL drivers.
- Develop and adjust delivery schedules based on customer priorities, driver availability, equipment availability, and changing conditions.
- Communicate clear dispatch instructions to drivers and ensure critical information is accurately relayed.
- Monitor daily operations and proactively adjust plans when necessary.
- Balance customer service, operational efficiency, and driver safety when making dispatch decisions.
- Maintain organized dispatch records and communicate schedule changes to the appropriate team members.
Driver Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers throughout the workday.
- Respond to operational questions and resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain professional working relationships while establishing clear expectations and consistent communication.
- Escalate significant operational issues when appropriate.
Fleet Management
- Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules.
- Monitor inspections, repairs, and equipment availability.
- Perform periodic visual inspections of trucks and trailers.
- Coordinate with mechanics and drivers to ensure maintenance issues are addressed promptly.
Safety & Compliance
- Assist with driver safety meetings and training.
- Support DOT/FMCSA compliance efforts.
- Work with the logistics team to ensure vehicles, drivers, and records remain compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Customer Support
While most customer communication is handled by other team members, this position will occasionally communicate directly with customers regarding scheduling, delivery updates, or operational issues.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Dispatch or transportation logistics experience
- DOT/FMCSA knowledge
- Experience coordinating multiple drivers or field employees
- Microsoft 365 proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
