Commercial Lightning Protection (CLP) is looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from planning through closeout. This role is critical in ensuring our installations are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. What You’ll Do
- Manage commercial construction projects from start to finish, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality goals are met
- Review contracts, drawings, and specifications to confirm scope and identify risks
- Build project schedules, procurement plans, and manpower forecasts
- Coordinate closely with field operations, EC/GC teams, site supers, inspectors, and vendors
- Monitor project financials including labor productivity, material usage, cost-to-complete, and gross margin performance
- Prepare and submit RFIs and Change Order Requests; track approvals and ensure proper documentation
- Maintain updated project schedules and proactively communicate delays or impacts
- Conduct site walks to verify progress, quality, and compliance with technical standards
- Provide weekly updates to leadership on project status, risks, and financials
- Maintain accurate project logs including RFIs, submittals, COs, and meeting minutes
- Ensure safety policies are followed and proper PPE/certifications are in place
- Lead project closeout: punch lists, as-builts, warranties, O&M manuals, and final billing
What We’re Looking For
Required
- 2- 4 years experiencing managing commercial construction projects for a subcontractor or GC
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, scheduling, and jobsite coordination
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with project management and digital workflow tools
Preferred
- Experience in electrical, low-voltage, specialty trades, or lightning protection
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar field
Travel Requirements
Expect to be on the road approximately 50% of the time, including occasional overnight stays based on project needs.
