The Role
We are hiring an Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of commercial landscape maintenance accounts.
This is not a passive “check-in” role. You are responsible for:
- Client relationships
- Site quality
- Identifying and closing enhancement opportunities
- Retention and growth of your book of business
You will be the face of CLMS to your clients.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
- Conduct regular site visits and client walkthroughs
- Proactively communicate issues, solutions, and recommendations
- Build strong relationships with property managers and decision-makers
Operations Coordination
- Work closely with production teams to ensure quality and efficiency
- Identify and correct service issues before the client notices
- Ensure contract scope is being executed properly
Enhancements & Revenue Growth
- Identify opportunities for enhancements (mulch, plantings, irrigation, upgrades, etc.)
- Develop and present proposals to clients
- Close additional work and drive revenue within your portfolio
Financial Accountability
- Manage account profitability and budgets
- Understand labor, materials, and production impacts
- Support renewals and contract increases
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years in commercial landscape maintenance, property management, or similar field
- Strong understanding of landscape maintenance operations
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and expectations
- Experience selling or upselling services is a major plus
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple properties at once
- Strong communication skills (email, in-person, phone)
- Ability to problem solve in the field, not just escalate issues
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary 60K-70K (based on experience)
- Performance-based bonus tied to retention and enhancement sales (20K-50K with no cap)
