Duties
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Maintain and service air brake systems, shocks, struts, and other critical components.
- Assemble and fabricate parts as needed for repairs or upgrades.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines and related systems.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance performed, and parts used.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working in the shop or field.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment, farm machinery, and related systems.
- Strong understanding of air brake systems, shocks, struts, and suspension components.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical issues effectively and implement solutions.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications are a plus.
