Position Overview
A bookkeeper maintains accurate financial records for businesses or organizations, handling day-to-day transactions and ensuring financial data stays organized and compliant.
Role and Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments into the appropriate accounts
- Responsibility for accounts payable by processing invoices, verifying vendor payments, and ensuring timely payment
- Assist with answering accounts payable or accounts receivable questions in emails or on the phone
- Ensure the proper organization and maintenance of financial records, including invoices, receipts, and other financial data
- Help assist receptionist with incoming phone calls, answering inquiries, taking messages, and transferring calls to the appropriate recipients
- Assist Controller with accounts receivable collections
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of bookkeeping or administrative experience
Preferred Skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary and Benefits
- $30-45k Base Pay Range
- Supplemented Medical (85% premium covered by employer for employee only plan, 50% for family) and eligible for benefits upon the beginning of the month two months after start date.
