JOB TITLE: Full Time/Part Time CDL TRUCK DRIVING INSTRUCTOR
Job Description:
Commercial Driver Training, Inc. is a vocational school founded in 1961 offering courses in professional tractor trailer, truck and bus driving.
We are looking for qualified, experienced CDL Class A Drivers. We will train you to become a certified NYS Driver Instructor. Come join us for a rewarding experience of sharing your knowledge of CDL Driving to students looking to enter this field.
We are a 7 day a week operation. The position will require one weekend day. A typical work week would be Sunday – Thursday (off Friday and Saturday) or Tuesday – Saturday (off Sunday and Monday).
Part Time Positions would be weekend day and/or flexible schedule during the week
Responsibilities:
- To teach, train and prepare a student for the NYS DMV Road Test
- Backing maneuvers, pre-trip inspection, road training
- Safety Classes
- Complete Evaluations as well as grading a student
- Some travel to Fleet locations for on-site training
- Qualifications:
- CDL Class A License*
- 5 Years Recent Tractor Trailer Experience
- DOT Physical Card* *
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.* *
- Clean Driving Record (under 4 points)* *
- Must be able to pass a drug screen/alcohol testing*
