Job Description
Commercial DoorWorx is seeking an experienced Commercial Overhead Door Technician to join our growing team. This role involves servicing, repairing, and occasionally installing a wide range of commercial door systems and dock equipment. We are looking for a dependable, skilled technician who takes pride in quality work and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial overhead door systems
- Service and troubleshoot:
- High-speed doors
- Sectional doors
- Coiling doors
- Dock equipment (levelers, seals, shelters, etc.)
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on customer equipment
- Complete occasional door and equipment installations
- Perform welding and fabrication as required for repairs and installs
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
- Communicate clearly with customers and team members
- Maintain accurate service records and reports
Qualifications (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with commercial overhead doors and dock equipment
- Welding experience is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and work at heights
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Fire door certification (a plus)
- Experience with high-speed door systems
- OSHA safety knowledge or certification
