Commercial Construction Group (CGG) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to play a critical role in ensuring a new inpatient behavioral health facility operates safely, efficiently, and in full regulatory compliance. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the facility's buildings, systems, and grounds to create a safe and therapeutic environment for clients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on facility equipment, systems, and structures — including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and safety systems.
- Inspect and maintain the physical condition of the building; report any issues or safety concerns promptly.
- Conduct routine checks of life safety equipment (fire alarms, extinguishers, exit lights, emergency systems) to ensure compliance with local and state regulations.
- Complete furniture assembly, painting, carpentry, and repair projects as needed.
- Maintain exterior areas including landscaping, walkways, and parking areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
- Assist with vendor coordination, deliveries, and facility setup for inspections or special projects.
- Support facility leadership in preparation for state, local, and accreditation inspections.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control procedures, and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities, or a related field; healthcare setting experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic maintenance trades including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Ability to operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
