We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part Time Evening Office Cleaner to join our dynamic facilities team. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of office spaces, including desks, floors, windows, and surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
- Handle custodial tasks such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and disinfecting high-touch areas to maintain optimal sanitation standards.
- Operate vacuum cleaners and mop and buckets to ensure floors are clean, and well-maintained.
- Follow safety protocols when handling chemical agents and cleaning equipment to prevent accidents or exposure.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring overall hygiene compliance.
- Ensure all cleaning procedures comply with safety guidelines related to chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in an office or commercial setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques involving chemical agents and proper handling safety procedures.
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and facility maintenance best practices.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices.
- Customer service skills are a plus, as the role may involve interacting with staff or visitors in a courteous manner.
- A willingness to learn is essential.
