Maintenance and Repair Worker

Job Overview
CCS , Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician/Apartment Maintenance in the Wilmington, Middletown and surrounding Delaware area. The Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for responding to emergency maintenance calls after-hours as directed by management.

Responsibilities

• Perform general punch requirements as necessary
• Grounds, parking lot maintenance as necessary
• Basic snow removal as necessary
• Basic service requests such as: replacing light bulbs/light kits, ballast, ceiling tile, unclogging toilets, drains, garbage disposal installation/repair, basic water heater repair, minor repairs, painting, drywall repair, basic cleaning and resident services.
• Ceiling tile replacement as needed
• Repair and general maintenance of plumbing, appliances, electrical, and carpentry
• Familiar with HVAC equipment, filters helpful
• Maintain work order system, logs, and other records as needed
• Timely reporting of incidents that include property loss or work related injuries
• Operates various mechanical, electrical equipment, and power/garden tools
• Must comply with all local, state, federal guidelines as well as company policies & procedures.
• On call duty after-hours weekend work schedules to be expected for emergency maintenance service.

Essential Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation. Company may provide vehicle for travel between client properties
• Must be able to pass criminal background check.
• Must have clean driving record
• Must be able to work with moderate to minimal direct supervision.
• Able to work in fast-paced environment while remaining conscientious and adhering to policies and procedures.
• Good human relation skills demonstrating the ability to deal with Residents, Peers and Supervisors.
• Proven experience in maintenance roles, particularly in residential environments.
• Mechanical knowledge is essential for diagnosing and repairing various systems.
• Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and customers.

Work involves use of hand and small power tools, and involves significant amounts of bending, stretching, walking, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, standing, and lifting of up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
