Janitor (Cleaning Exp Required)

Commercial Cleaning Company has been in business since 1927; we have steady work and are looking for Janitors who want a reliable, steady position in the Piscataway Area.

We have the positions above available:

• Part time Position-From 4:30pm-8:30pm Monday through Friday.

You must work independently; you are responsible for cleaning and maintaining your assigned location and leading the cleaners. We offer competitive pay . English speaking is optional but one must be authorized to work in the US. Must have reliable transportation to the worksite.

Job Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect all surfaces
• Areas designated for vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping
• Clean the bathroom using disinfectants and bathroom cleaners, replenish bathroom supplies as needed, take out the trash, clean fixtures, mirrors, and dispensers, and sweep and clean floors with damp rags.
• Emptying garbage and recycling
• You will use hand tools, motorized equipment, chemicals, and cleaning liquids to clean specific work areas.
• Make sure all lights are on/off and that appropriate doors are locked when leaving an area
• Keep cabinets clean, organized, and with the necessary products
• Use Safety signs while working on wet floors or cleaning bathrooms
• Inspect that all areas of the night shift are responsible for
• Report to the site supervisor any employee absence, delays, or any operational issues
• Performs other tasks of nature and levels like those assigned by the Supervisor and Manager

Requirements

• Must be able to work independently.
• Efficient multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• one year of cleaning experience, preferably
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must have reliable transportation to the job site

Work environment:

• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position
• Constant exposure to outdoor weather conditions, handling moving cleaning equipment (i.e., vacuums, auto scrubbers, etc.), toxic or caustic chemicals, and moderate noise levels
• Often required to bend, kneel, squat, and climb.
• Medium strength. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
