CAD Engineer/Drafter Needed!

At CCI, we turn raw materials into premium architectural products. We are looking for a skilled CAD Drafter to serve as the master architect of our engineering phase. If you want a role where your drawings do not just sit on a screen—they actually get built—this is your spot.
Job Overview
Under the general supervision of our Operations Manager, you will be the bridge between initial design and final production. You will create, catalog, and maintain the precise drawings, programs, and specifications that fuel our manufacturing floor and vendor network. You will coordinate directly with Project Managers to secure design approvals and gather critical field measurements.
What You Will Do (Duties & Responsibilities):
- Decipher Designs: Read and accurately interpret complex architectural and interior design drawings.
- Own the Engineering Phase: Verify all codes and client requests are honored in your drawings. Give them what they want!
- Master the Materials: Understand the exact wood materials and hardware required to fabricate the approved scope of work.
- Sync with the Field: Adapt office drawings to real-world field conditions and measurements.
- Collaborate to Deliver: Partner with the Project Managers and your Engineering team to smash deadlines and solve project challenges.
- Standard Execution: Execute all drafting responsibilities according to documented company standards and processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Team First: A collaborative mindset ready to solve custom manufacturing puzzles alongside our Operations and Project managers.
- The Secret Weapon: Microvellum experience is highly preferred (but we will still talk if you are a quick learner!).
- Software Savvy: Advanced proficiency in drafting, 3D modeling programs, and standard office solution software.
- Industry Insight: Familiarity with manufacturing environments, specifically within the wood products industry.

- CAD Drafting: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Environment:
The work environment is a typical office environment. The primary part of the work day is spent seated at a computer and you should be able to carry 20lbs. or more an average of 50 feet on a regular basis
