Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with disassembling damaged areas, repairing and replacing parts, welding/fabrication and ensuring the overall quality of the repair work. Responsibilities
- Inspect trailers for structural integrity and safety compliance.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and structural issues on semi-trailers.
- Utilize power tools effectively for repairs and fabrication tasks.
- Align, weld, solder, and fabricate components as needed to restore trailers to optimal condition.
- Operate industrial equipment safely while performing maintenance tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience working with commercial trucks and trailers in a dealership or fleet maintenance environment.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and understanding of schematics for electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other commercial machinery.
- Skilled in welding (including MIG/TIG), fabrication techniques, tire service operations, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all repair tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in various environmental conditions; experience with vehicle assembly or equipment repair is a plus.
