POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: BSA Alert Analyst
REPORTS TO: BSA Officer LOCATION: On-Site or Remote DIVISION: Compliance
Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented BSA Alert Analyst to join our compliance team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can independently review and disposition alerts with accuracy and sound judgment. The primary focus will be clearing routine alerts and escalating those that demonstrate potential unusual or suspicious activity. This is a short-term contract opportunity anticipated to last 6 to 12 months, with remote (work-from-home) flexibility.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct timely reviews of BSA/AML alerts generated through transaction monitoring systems
- Analyze customer activity to determine if alerts can be reasonably cleared or require escalation
- Document alert decisions clearly, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and internal standards
- Escalate alerts with potential suspicious activity for case creation and further investigation
- Consistently meet established productivity and quality benchmarks
- Partner with team members and leadership to ensure consistent application of procedures and risk-based decisioning
- Other job duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on BSA/AML experience, specifically in alert review and disposition
- Experience working within Abrigo BAM required
- Strong understanding of suspicious activity indicators and escalation protocols
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to balance efficiency with accuracy in a production-driven environment
