Diesel Mechanic Service Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a medium / highly skilled and energetic Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of the machinery used in diesel trucks and trailers. Inspect, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines in machinery like trucks, buses. Perform preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension, and electrical components using OEM schematics and automotive diagnostics tools.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such
• truck and trailer operational efficiency.
• Fabricate custom parts or modifications using hand tools, welding equipment, and power tools to meet specific repair needs or enhance equipment performance.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues involving powertrain systems, hydraulics, HVAC systems, tire service, and alignment procedures.
• Maintain detailed service records including inspection reports, repair logs, and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with safety standards and OEM specifications as long as keep great communication with the service advisor.
• Operate heavy machinery safely during repairs or testing, adhering to all safety protocols for heavy lifting and equipment operation.
• Keep jobs assigned, organized, and clean for safety purposes.

Requirements

• Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics.
• Proficiency in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; ability to work with hand tools and power tools efficiently.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including cranes, forklifts, trucks-trailers.
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems, air brake systems, suspension alignment, HVAC systems, electrical troubleshooting, and tire service.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for precise repairs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance and repair tasks.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely; willingness to work in various environmental conditions.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service; ability to work independently or as part of a team. Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
