Compensation Range Hourly: $30.55 - $35.80 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.) About This Job The main purpose of this job is to support the day-to-day operations of the Legal Department through process coordination, data analysis, and administrative support. This position assists with tracking work, maintaining systems, preparing reporting, and documenting procedures to help the Legal Department operate efficiently and effectively. Essential Functions Coordinate matter intake, workflow tracking, and task prioritization related to legal operations Maintain and support legal technology and systems such as matter management, contract management, e-billing, and other technological integrations Assist with vendor and law firm management, including invoice tracking, budget/spend, and outside counsel performance Prepare dashboards, reports, and metrics to measure legal operations’ performance Document workflows, procedures, and playbooks to improve consistency and efficiency Leverage advanced technology, analytics and critical thinking skills to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and continued improvement Support a variety of operational needs and other projects as delegated by the Legal Operations Manager Draft legal documents and correspondence for attorney review Assist with corporate governance activities, trademarks, regulatory filings, and other legal or regulatory transactional needs of the Legal Department Provide general administrative and operational assistance to the Legal Department Basic office management tasks such as ordering supplies and ensuring meeting room technology is setup and operational support Coordinate meetings, trainings, and department initiatives Collaborate with attorneys, legal staff, and cross-functional teams (Finance, IT, Compliance) to further bank or department initiatives Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required Intermediate knowledge of legal operations, including best practices Ability to demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision, apply critical thinking and exercise sound judgment and proactively identify and address operational needs Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliver results with minimal guidance Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, legal department systems (such as matter management, e-billing, contract management, or document management tools) preferred Adaptable, collaborative, with the ability to remain calm and objective in complex situations with a commitment to personal accountability Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree (business, legal studies, finance, or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience required 3 years legal operations, business operations, or related experience roles required Law firm, financial services, or administrative/operations experience required ***For individuals applying, assigned and/or hired to work in areas with pay transparency requirements, Commerce is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for some roles.
