What You'll Be Doing On Deck:

• Charting the Guest Experience:
• Offer a warm and hearty welcome to all who step onto our planks, setting the tone for an inviting atmosphere.
• Lead engaging and informative tasting journeys, expertly guiding guests through our beer menu.
• Share compelling tales of Commerce Brewing's origins, our brewing philosophy, and the unique characteristics of each of our liquid treasures.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable manner, answering questions and offering personalized recommendations.
• Maintain an immaculate and welcoming environment throughout the tasting room, ensuring it's always shipshape.
• Observe guest behavior and respond responsibly and appropriately to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all hands on deck.
• Navigating Sales & Service:
• Confidently promote and sell Commerce Brewing's range of beers (tastings, pours, to-go options), merchandise, and any future club memberships.
• Accurately operate the Point of Sale (POS) system with the precision of a seasoned navigator, handling all transactions with care.
• Manage cash and credit card transactions with integrity and attention to detail.
• Assist with the attractive display and efficient stocking of retail merchandise and beer inventory.
• Keeping the Ship Shipshape:
• Execute opening and closing duties with diligence, preparing the tasting area for the day's voyages and securing it at closing.
• Ensure the consistent cleanliness of the tasting room, restrooms, and surrounding areas throughout your shift, keeping everything Bristol fashion.
• Efficiently restock beer coolers, merchandise displays, and all necessary provisions.
• Provide support for special events hosted in the tasting room or at off-site locations, as needed.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and management regarding inventory levels, guest feedback, and any operational requirements.

What We're Looking For In a Good Hand:

• You must be at least 21 years of age.
• Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a guest-facing role is highly valued.
• A genuine enthusiasm for craft beer and a strong willingness to deepen your knowledge of our specific offerings.
• Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills – able to spin a good yarn and listen well.
• A natural ability to connect with people and effectively recommend products.
• Capable of working both independently and as a collaborative team member in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to regularly lift up to 50 pounds (e.g., cases of beer, kegs).
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A professional and approachable demeanor.
