Production Worker/Helper

Commencement Bay Corrugated is a full-service corrugated box plant, founded and incorporated in 1980. The Plant is 360,000 square feet and employs approximately 175 people. We manufacture custom boxes and sheets for customers located in the Western United States, Hawaii, and Alaska. Customer industries include fresh produce, processed foods, meat, fish, beverage, and industrial packaging.

We are looking to add to our production staff. Starting pay ranges between $26.50-$28.69/hour, with a shift differential of $1/hr on graveyard, and $0.65/hr on swing shift. Plenty of room for growth with pay increases of $1/hr after 4 months, a hiring bonus, and 4% increase at 9 months and 18 months, as well as annual increases.

General Laborer/Production Helper Responsibilities:

Assist team in operating box or corrugator machines at top quality speeds.

Assist with machine set ups, stacking, feeding, bundling, offloading.

Insert load tags, continuously monitor quality, and prep load for shipping.

Perform regular machine cleanups and minor maintenance.

Follow all plant rules and policies.

Able to work overtime as needed.

Able to work day shift, swing shift, or night/graveyard shift.

Qualifications:

Prior Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred, but not required.

Ability to read a tape measure and process basic math. (Basic Test given during interview process).

Able to stand for entire shift and lift up to 60-80 pounds.

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a safe manner.

Must be at least 18 years old, authorized to work in the United States, and able to understand and read communications in English.
