What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Trainer (Part Time) position at Commence Fitness Personal Training?
We are looking for a highly motivated and hard working trainer to join the Commence Fitness team.
Commence Fitness is a private personal training focusing on semi-private sessions of up to 4 people and 1:1 personal training sessions.
Commence Fitness focuses on client goals first and foremost, designing training programs that provide high quality, periodized and phased resistance training, cardio protocols, nutrition and assisted stretching.
While this posting is for a part-time position, there is opportunity to grow into a full-time position, as well as other opportunities for growth in the future.
This position is currently for a part-time trainer. Hours needed include semi-private sessions Thursday afternoons 3-8:15, Friday afternoons/evening 3:00-7:15 and some 1:1 morning hours.
Competitive pay rates with increases, compensation for continued education, 401K eligibility, paid vacation days and opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with reaching their individual goals
- Work directly with clients to provide highly personalized programming focused on goals and needs
- Monitor and teach safe and effective use of equipment by teaching, correcting and implementing proper form through all exercises
- Demonstrate and explain exercises and their function to clients during a session
- Work with multiple clients at one time in a semi-private setting
- Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the studio
Qualifications For this position, you need to hold a current personal training certification as well as a CPR/AED certification in order to train. We are looking for someone with 1 year of experience training clients in-person.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and trust with clients
