Dover Street Market New York is seeking a seasoned Facilities and Installation Assistant to be responsible for the upkeep of the building, appliances, and all systems. This position will work on the Special Projects and Operations team to provide facilities maintenance and installation support as needed. This position includes hands on involvement with preventative maintenance, overseeing contractors and assisting in event and installation preparation and set up.
Facilities
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Planning and preparation for regular maintenance visits from contractors and technicians.
- Maintain and update maintenance schedule in accordance with state laws and OSHA.
- Implement and maintain HVAC maintenance schedule and regulate temperatures.
- Manage cleaning company to ensure all locations are kept up to company standards.
- Manage pest control company to ensure all locations are protected.
- Implement and maintain kitchen maintenance schedule.
- Create punch lists for cleaners, painters, handymen and all other vendors.
- Obtain Certificate of Insurance for all third-party vendors with the facility
- Ensure fire alarm system is maintained in accordance with Fire Department Code and OSHA.
- Ensure alarm system is functioning without interruption and schedule maintenance whenever necessary.
- Hands on assistance with construction of displays and installations.
- Maintain the presentation of all shop fixtures to keep correct placement, function, and aesthetic always at their best.
- On site vendor visits to review installations in progress at vendor studios.
- Supervision of third-party contractors during installations.
- Assist with sourcing props for temporary and permanent use.
- Assist with event design and organization as needed.
- Create space renderings as needed for designer proposals.
- Ensure all maintenance, repairs and cleaning is done in accordance with Dover Street Market New York Standards.
- Ensure the New York locations are up to code and partner with any necessary parties
- Be a strong resource for the store teams to help resolve and challenges
- Assist and support the Special Projects team with the construction of store installations and event production as needed.
- Work closely with vendors to ensure all systems are functioning without disruption.
- Ensure stores and office maintenance are kept to company standards and in good working order
- Monitor all appliances and systems to ensure they are efficiently working, without problems.
- Communicate timelines, completion of work and diligently oversee projects
- Ensure all OSHA requirements are met.

- Ability to oversee contractors to ensure repairs and maintenance are executed correctly.

- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
