We’re seeking the right candidate for the position of LPN/RN Medical Cart Nurse at Lakeland Community Care Center. In this vital role, you’ll ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care while collaborating with a dedicated team, providing exceptional clinical leadership and support.
What You Bring to the Table:
Essential Qualifications:
- Prepare and distribute medications from a mobile cart, following physician orders and facility protocols. This includes ensuring accurate dosage, timing, and documentation, and managing refills.
- Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies, which may include using crash carts and defibrillators.
- Maintain the medication cart, ensuring it is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. This includes removing discontinued and expired medications.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records, including charting medication administration and observations.
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to demonstrate good emotional, mental and physical health, having sound judgment and high professional standards.
- Ability and willingness to provide emergency assistance to residents as indicated.
- Courtesy in working with residents, families and employees.
- Ability to maintain a neat, well-groomed and professional appearance at all times.
- Willingness to be in the facility ready to begin assigned duties on time.
- Willingness to be in the facility weekends.
- Willingness to work as a Licensed Staff assigned to a unit in an emergency.
- Ability to evaluate the geriatric resident’s needs and provide intervention timely to ensure each resident’s needs are met.
- Ability to evaluate Nursing Staff needs and provide staff education timely to provide quality care.
- Ability to function as a cooperative team member with each member of the Nursing Department and other departments.
- Ability to follow CommCare’s policies and procedures.
- Ability to manage and supervise the treatment plans for each resident in the facility as indicated.
- Ability and willingness to provide emergency care as needed for any resident in the facility.
