What You Bring to the Table:
Essential Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2 years of accounting / account management experience.
- Must have computer skills.
- Must be able to type and use other office equipment.
- Will receive on-the-job training regarding proper handling of administrative matters according to formulated policies as well as offsite training at central accounting offices.
- Has ability to work well with the general public.
- Has ability to meet and deal with a variety of employees, residents & relatives.
- Considerable initiative and judgment are needed in promoting favorable public relations.
- Must be sociable, courteous and have a memory for details.
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate:
- Handles resident billing and collection per prescribed procedures.
- Familiar with insurance coverage on residents to channel their medical bills and supplies.
- Familiar with Medicare (Part A and Part B), Medicaid, and PPO/HMO verification and appeal processes
- Familiar with the admission folder and admission procedure for new admissions.
- Relates knowledgeable information regarding admission requirements and rates.
