Job Title: Senior Estimator / Project Manager – Industrial Coatings
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. This position replaces a key role and requires hands-on expertise in estimating, project management, and field inspections for industrial sandblasting and painting projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate estimates for surface prep and coatings on tanks, vessels, piping, and structural steel
- Conduct job site inspections, verify surface conditions, and define scope of work
- Manage projects from bid award through completion, including scheduling, budgeting, and crew oversight
- Ensure compliance with SSPC/NACE/AMPP standards, client specs, and safety protocols
- Maintain and operate Excel-based estimating systems and field documentation tools
- Coordinate closely with field teams, clients, vendors, and upper management
- Track job costs, change orders, and project deliverables
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in industrial coatings estimating, inspection, and project management
- Strong working knowledge of surface prep standards (SSPC/NACE), coating systems, and job sequencing
- Proficiency in Excel and digital estimating templates
- NACE/AMPP certification (Level 1 or higher) preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
