Position Summary
The Facilities Worker is responsible for supporting the day-to-day maintenance, cleanliness, and functionality of the Robbinsville facility. This role ensures a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment across production, warehouse, and office areas within a fast-paced printing and manufacturing operation.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and general repairs (e.g., minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
- Support facility upkeep including cleaning, painting, and basic equipment repairs
- Assist with preventative maintenance tasks for building systems and equipment
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of production floors, common areas, and exterior grounds
- Assist with waste removal, recycling, and material handling
- Support setup and breakdown of equipment, workspaces, and company events as needed
- Monitor facility conditions and report safety hazards or repair needs
- Operate basic tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned to support facility and production operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of facilities, maintenance, or industrial experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
- Forklift experience is a plus (or willingness to be trained)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Exposure to a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and moving machinery
- May require off-shift, weekend, or on-call availability to support production needs
