Apprentice Sheet Metal Mechanic

Company-paid life insurance & so much more. Your main Tasks: To work safely no matter what. Safety is our highest priority. Learn to lay out and install commercial duct work in a wide variety of job settings. Unload, move, and handle commercial-scale duct work. Properly finish and seal duct work. Work at heights, from ladders, lifts, or roof. Assist with installing commercial HVAC equipment. Learn to use a variety of power & hand tools. Complete class and at-home study with skills and textbook testing. Experience or Certification needed: A High School diploma or GED is required. Experience using hand tools and tape measure is a plus. You need to be able to: Keep it a Drug-free Workplace. Be punctual and reliable. Work as a team. Do Basic “Tape measure math”. Work in extremes of heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors. Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs. Work efficiently in confined spaces. Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending. Exercise fine motor control, with good vision and excellent hand-eye coordination.
