Duties
- Assist with daily patient care activities, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support for individuals with memory loss and/or receiving hospice care.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or Cerner
- Support medical procedures such as medication administration, and wound care following established protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and records of patient interactions, treatments, and observations in compliance with healthcare standards and legal requirements
- Assist nursing staff with assessments and basic physiology knowledge to support comprehensive patient care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate home & community care services for individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions
- Follow infection control procedures diligently to prevent the spread of illness while providing compassionate care in a home like setting.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a CMA or CNA from the state of Kansas; prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency procedures such as CPR
- Experience working with individuals with specialized dementia or Alzheimer’s care is advantageous
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or ECP for accurate documentation and medical records management
- Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs measurement, medication administration confidently and safely
- Strong communication skills combined with a caring attitude to provide exceptional patient-centered care while adhering to HIPAA guidelines
- Flexibility to work various shifts; commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism

Pay: $11.50 - $12.00 per hour
