Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional direct care, supervision, and support to adult participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) attending the Adult Day Center and or a Personal Care Home. The CNA assists participants with activities of daily living (ADL's), promotes independence, ensures safety, and supports participants in achieving individualized goals while maintaining dignity and respect.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily activities of daily living, including toileting, grooming, hygiene, dressing, eating, and mobility.
- Monitor participants physical and emotional well-being and report any concerns or changes and conditions to the supervising nurse.
- Take and record vital signs if needed or asked to assist.
- Assist with medication observation and documentation as permitted by state regulations and agency policies.
- Provide assistance during meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
- Support participants in recreational, educational, vocational, and community based activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized environment for participants.
- Assist with transfer and ambulation using proper body mechanics and adaptive equipment when necessary.
- Document service provided and participant progress accurately and timely.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established safety protocols.
- Treat all participants, families, visitors, and coworkers with professionalism, dignity, and respect.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting patients safely using Hoyer lifts or similar equipment.
- Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and continuing education programs.
Pay: $21.97 - $26.46 per hour
Experience:
- IDD Adults: 1 year (Preferred)
Shift availability:
- Day Shift (Preferred)

- Overnight Shift (Preferred)
