Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including helping residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor residents’ vital signs and health status throughout the shift, reporting any changes or concerns promptly.
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems if scheduled as delegated medication technician.
- Support residents with dementia or memory care needs by implementing behavior management techniques and engaging them in calming activities. .
- Document shift activities thoroughly through incident reports, resident logs, and health records to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control procedures, cleaning protocols, and safety standards.
- Support residents’ social engagement by encouraging participation in activities suited for their abilities during overnight hours.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments.
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia management, and memory care techniques Is a plus, but not required
- Ability to perform first aid and CPR confidently; certification preferred but not required.
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and providing compassionate personal care tailored to individual needs.
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized support.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems for documentation; strong attention to detail is essential.
- Capable of operating mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts safely; comfortable with light cleaning duties as part of maintaining a safe environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and engage residents positively.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
