We are currently looking for a Sheet Metal Foreman
Essential Skills
- Minimum of five years commercial experience.
- Should have experience with the following duct work: TDF, Pittsburgh and snap lock construction, TDC, Duct mate, 22mm, 35mm, S & D, Spiral, Duct Board Fiberglass, FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic ductwork)
- Extensive knowledge of local building codes.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA and ADOSH safety requirements as outlined in company policy.
- Basic knowledge of shop equipment and basic shop layout and fabrication principles.
- Must have the ability to layout a duct system from a blueprint and set elevations
Key Performance Objectives:
- Planning and Pre-planning
- Responsible for entire duct detailing function.
- Orders, Coordinates and inspects all materials for accuracy and completeness to meet project timeline
- Coordinates ductwork with other trades, i.e., steel, fire sprinklers, etc.
- Coordinates equipment delivery with project manager and general contractor
- Schedules subcontractors
- Updates as-builts
- Supervises installation of all duct, duct accessories, equipment, and related material
- Sets daily and weekly installation goals
- Daily inspections for installation, safety
- Determines crew size and hours worked
- Enforces quality standards. Enforces code compliance.
- Inspects assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications and SMACNA requirements.
