About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Pipe Shop Welder with strong experience in GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (Flux-Core Arc Welding) for butt joint pipe welding. This is a production-focused position based in our pipe fabrication facility. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency welding in the 1G position, have previous experience in a high-output fabrication environment, and possess a professional, team-oriented attitude.
The ideal candidate will be able to obtain a welding certification within 30 days of hire, if not already certified.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality GMAW and FCAW welds on carbon steel and other industrial piping in 1G position.
- Follow welding procedures and quality standards to meet job specifications and code requirements.
- Prepare and align pipe and materials for butt joint welds in a shop setting.
- Interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols.
- Maintain safe work habits and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
- Work efficiently within a team to meet production timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Minimum 2 years of pipe welding experience in a fabrication shop environment.
- Proven ability to weld butt joints using GMAW and FCAW processes in the 1G position.
- Capable of passing a pipe welder certification test within 30 days of employment.
- Experience working in a high-paced production shop.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to consistent quality.
- Familiarity with material handling and basic fabrication tools.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications.
- AWS or other relevant welder certifications.
- Experience with other welding positions and processes (e.g., 2G, 3G, TIG, etc.).
- Forklift or overhead crane operation experience is a plus.
