- Understand blueprints and drawings.
- Lay out and install commercial duct work in a wide variety of job settings.
- Unload, move, and handle commercial-scale duct work.
- Properly finish and seal duct work to pass testing.
- Help train apprentices.
- Work at heights, from ladders, lifts, or roof.
- Assist with installing commercial HVAC equipment.
- Prior experience installing commercial ductwork preferred.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Keep it a Drug-free Workplace.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Work as a team.
- Work in extremes of heat, cold, bad weather, indoors and outdoors.
- Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry max of 60 lbs.
- Willing to be cross trained in different trades.
- Work well in confined spaces.
- Work above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.
- Exercise motor control, with good vision and excellent hand-eye coordination.
