Role Description The Accounts Payable Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Knoxville, TN. This role is responsible for processing vendor invoices, matching purchase orders, verifying approvals, and ensuring accurate and timely payments. Day-to-day responsibilities include resolving invoice discrepancies, responding to vendor inquiries, supporting month-end close processes, and collaborating with accounting and project teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Pay Range: $18-20/hour
Qualifications
- Strong accounting and finance skills, including familiarity (2 years) with Accounts Payable processes.
- Ability to accurately prepare, review, and reconcile expense reports with attention to detail and compliance with company policies.
- Demonstrated analytical skills for identifying discrepancies, resolving issues, and supporting process improvements.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Organized, deadline-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in construction, industrial services, or a similar environment is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a drug-free workplace, punctual, reliable and strong problem-solving skills.
