Hotel Housekeeper – Comfort Suites University

Comfort Suites University in Brookings, SD is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our team.

Our housekeeping team plays an important role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming experience for every guest. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, notices the details, and can work efficiently while maintaining our hotel’s cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel and brand cleanliness standards
• Make beds, change linens, clean bathrooms, dust, vacuum, and sanitize guest room surfaces
• Clean and maintain assigned public areas as needed
• Complete assigned rooms within established time and quality expectations
• Restock towels, linens, toiletries, and other guest room supplies
• Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
• Properly handle and store cleaning products and supplies
• Report maintenance concerns, damages, lost-and-found items, or security concerns promptly
• Monitor supplies and report shortages when needed
• Respond professionally and courteously to reasonable guest requests
• Follow hotel safety, sanitation, and company policies
• Work cooperatively with housekeeping, front desk, maintenance, and management
• Perform other reasonable housekeeping duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or hospitality experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Good organization and time-management skills
• Professional and courteous when interacting with guests and coworkers
• Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a physically active position
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movement. Employees must be able to safely perform the physical duties associated with cleaning and preparing hotel guest rooms.
