MAINTENANCE

SUMMARY

Manage all engineering/maintenance operations of the hotel. Respond and attend to repair requests. Maintain the building and grounds with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection. Manage the department budget, projects, preventive maintenance and energy conservation in coordination with management. Responsible for maintaining regulatory requirements. Provide exceptional customer satisfaction. Maintain professionalism at all times. Possess technical knowledge and aptitude.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance operations to ensure the functions are in accordance with Management Company and Brand standards.
• Comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and ordinances as they apply to the property, guests and associates.
• Adhere to safety and emergency procedures and policies (i.e. evacuation, first aid, etc.) to include removing all safety hazards.
• Conduct regular stock and inventory of tools and equipment.
• Maintain, repair and operate equipment for optimum effectiveness, efficiency and safety.
• Complete regular property inspections; interior and exterior.
• Perform on-call emergency service as required.
• Control expenses to achieve or exceed budget goals.
• Maintain accurate logs and records as required.
• Work closely with management to ensure that the communication among all departments is frequent and clear.
• Handle guest problems and complaints effectively.
• Keep company business including but not limited to, financial s, personnel, guest and customer data strictly confidential.
• Performs other duties as assigned and needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous Management Experience

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to walk, stand and bend for extended periods of time. Must be physically able to

grasp, grip, pull, push, twist, turn and lift boxes, which average around 25-30 pounds each; 50 pounds or more with assistance; maneuver housekeeping carts which can weigh up to 110 pounds
