Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our dynamic housekeeping team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and comfort. Your proactive approach will contribute directly to guest satisfaction and the overall reputation of our hotel.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms thoroughly, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies
- Perform window cleaning and floor care to maintain a pristine appearance in all areas
- Handle laundry services efficiently, including washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels
- Use cleaning equipment safely and effectively, including pressure washers when necessary for exterior areas
- Maintain proper chemical handling procedures and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety during cleaning tasks
- Conduct sanitation of bathrooms, kitchens, and public spaces following infection control protocols
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles, preferably in a commercial setting
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including window cleaning, floor care, and sanitation practices
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly with proper PPE use
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure guest satisfaction through attentive service
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, pressure washers, and other tools
- Understanding of infection control standards and sanitation procedures necessary for health safety compliance
