Job Summary:
The HR Generalist at Comfort Squad Homecare Agency plays a vital role in ensuring smooth human resources operations to support our mission of delivering exceptional homecare services. This role involves managing recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and administrative functions while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and extending offers.
- Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a seamless introduction for new hires, including orientation and training coordination.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, addressing issues professionally and confidentially.
- Promote a positive work environment by facilitating effective communication between management and staff.
- Compliance & Recordkeeping:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including background checks, OIG verification, and other required documentation.
- Performance Management:
- Support managers with performance reviews, coaching, and development plans.
- Address performance issues and provide guidance on corrective actions.
- HR Policies & Procedures:
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Educate employees on policies, benefits, and available resources.
- Benefits Administration:
- Coordinate employee benefits programs, including enrollment, updates, and employee inquiries.
- Training & Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning opportunities for employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Other Duties as Assigned:
- Support special projects and initiatives to enhance the employee experience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 2-4 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in the healthcare or homecare industry.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
