Description
The Extrusion Operator III is a highly skilled operator responsible for leading extrusion operations, optimizing processes, and handling complex troubleshooting. This role is also qualified to train other team members, ensuring that all ambassadors are equipped with the knowledge and skills to maintain high standards in Extrusion. This position represents the highest level of Extrusion operations, with opportunities for progression into leadership roles within the company.

- Shift Times: 6:00AM - 6:15PM, M-F
- Pay Schedule: Weekly
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Demonstrate the Core Values of Comfort Research in daily actions, execution of tasks, and interactions with others.
- Independently set up and configure extrusion equipment to meet production specifications, adjusting settings like speed, temperature, and material feed rates.
- Analyze and optimize machine performance, adjusting parameters and experimenting with process settings to enhance quality and reduce waste.
- Conduct in-depth troubleshooting on complex issues, using analytical skills and technical knowledge to resolve machine malfunctions effectively.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures, documentation, and training materials for extrusion processes.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal safety guidelines, conduct risk assessments, and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Partner with the maintenance team to schedule preventative maintenance, ensuring all extrusion equipment is kept in optimal condition.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to conduct advanced quality tests and suggest process adjustments to enhance product consistency.
- Provide technical input during production meetings and participate in process improvement projects or lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Train Level I-II operators on standard operating procedures, quality checks, and basic troubleshooting techniques."
- Communicate any quality issues to the Team Leader or Operations Manager promptly.
- Perform housekeeping duties to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the work area.
- Support Production team in shared goals and initiatives.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of extrusion experience required.
- Advanced mechanical skills and expertise in extrusion processes.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with quality assurance practices and the ability to interpret technical specifications.
- Working knowledge of Extrusion Packer and Extrusion Operator I-II job duties and tasks.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to read and understand job aids and other instructional materials printed in English is preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to move and manipulate products/materials weighing up to 50 pounds, involving frequent twisting, lifting, turning, and bending.
- Ability to continuously pull, push, and tug materials.
