Position Summary
The Administrator is responsible for the overall management and daily operation of an Adult Residential Facility, ensuring high‑quality, person‑centered care, regulatory compliance, and a safe, supportive environment for adult residents and staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Facility Management & Leadership
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the adult residential facility.
- Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate staff.
- Provide leadership that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and respect.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and ensure staff understand and follow policies.
Resident Care & Services
- Ensure residents receive person‑centered services that promote dignity, rights, and independence.
- Oversee development, implementation, and monitoring of Individual Service/Care Plans.
- Monitor residents’ physical, emotional, and behavioral status; respond to concerns promptly.
- Maintain regular communication with residents, families/guardians, and outside agencies.
Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable state and local regulations for Adult Residential Facilities.
- Maintain accurate and timely resident files, medical records, incident reports, and facility logs.
- Prepare for and participate in licensing inspections, audits, and quality reviews.
- Develop, implement, and update facility policies and procedures as required.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Ensure a safe, clean, and well‑maintained facility environment.
- Oversee medication management practices and documentation.
- Implement and monitor infection control, emergency preparedness, and safety procedures.
- Conduct and document regular safety drills and facility inspections.
Administrative & Financial
- Assist with budget development, cost control, and purchasing.
- Oversee staff scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll approvals.
- Manage admissions, transfers, and discharges; complete all related documentation.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, vendors, and community resources.
Qualifications
- Must have an ACTIVE ADULT RESIDENTAL CARE FACLILITY ADMINISTRATOR CERTIFICATE
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, psychology, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience in an Adult Residential Facility, group home, assisted living, or similar setting (typically 2 years), including supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of state regulations and licensing requirements for Adult Residential Facilities.
- Strong leadership, communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in crisis situations.
- Basic computer proficiency (email, electronic records, word processing).
- Ability to pass required background checks, health screenings, and fingerprinting as required by state regulations.
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
