Job Description
Per Diem position in the Bergen County, New Jersey area. Must be available for at least two cases per week. Cases are assigned within a travel time of approximately 15 miles from RN's base of business.
Specialty infusion therapy in patient's home including: IVIG, TPN, antibiotics, chemotherapy, anti-infective therapy, enzyme replacement, inotropic therapy, hemophilia factor products.
Most patients are seen on a weekly or monthly basis depending on their needs.
- PICC Line and Central Line Care
- IV Insertion
- Central Line Dressing Changes and Lab Drawing (weekly)
- Port Maintenance
- Start IVs
- Accessing and De-accessing Ports
- Teach patients and caregivers to perform and monitor the administration of home infusion as prescribed.
- Document all patient-directed activities.
Qualifications
- Proficiency insertion of peripheral IVs.
- Current state licensure(s) as a Registered Nurse in good standing.
- A minimum of one year recent infusion experience.
- Must be available for at least two cases a week.
- Must have valid driver's license and auto insurance.
- BLS certification is required.
