In-Home Caregiver

Comfort Keepers is seeking a strong compassionate and dependable caregiver to provide in-home care. This requires confidence in mobility assistance, Dementia experience is a plus, and could assist on personal care and ADL's.

Our licensed home care agency has proudly served the Mid-Cities community for nearly 25 years.

Shift Details & Availability

• Must be able to work
• Flexible scheduling: availability on weekends.
• 9AM-1PM
• 6PM-10PM and open for dayshifts
• 8AM-8PM / 8:00 PM- 8:00 AM

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive pay, commensurate with experience
• $15.50 - $17.00 per hour (or adjust if local market demands)

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of senior caregiving experience (agency, facility, or private client)
• Experience or comfort working with Dementia or Alzheimer’s clients is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Able to lift at least 25 lbs as needed
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing situations
• Tolerance for small pets (e.g., cats or dogs)
• Ability to communicate via phone or email for schedules, client updates, and emergencies
• Honest, dependable, respectful of dignity and privacy

As a Home Health Aide / Caregiver, you will:

• Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding
• Help with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs): light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, medication reminders, and transportation
• Support family members by teaching safe care techniques, especially for dementia care.
• Provide transportation to/from appointments and errands
• Follow the client’s care plan; report any changes in condition or needs
